I have reached the age in my life where I have fine wrinkles under and at the corners of my eyes(bummer!!). Anyway, it seems no matter what face powder I try it always ends up looking ';caked'; around my eye area and clings to the wrinkles. Any of you ladies out there know of a good face powder either loose or in compact form (I don't care as long as it works!) that combats the shine, but won't make my ';laugh lines'; look even more noticeable? Thanks in advance for your help!!!Good face powder?
One that I tried last year and was hooked on for a while was (Shiseido Compact foundation spf 17 $35). I know it has little glittery stuff called mica and this is supposed to reflect light against your face, which makes your wrinkles less visible. It has a long staying power, it doesn't look cakey, and delivers full coverage despite it being (powder foundation), which many don't do. I loved it but my hobby is trying new cosmetics and colors. If you don't mind me suggesting a concealer, (Mary Kay's concealer $9.50) is a good one do to it's silicone based ingridients but stay away from the (mustard) YELLOW. Also (Prescriptives flawless skin concealer spf 25 $25), this one is my favorite! Well, I hope I helped.Good face powder?
Try La Prairie...its expensive buy worth it...
I suggest mark.'s Powder Buff Natural Skin Foundation (really a pressed powder). I love it! I've tried MAC, Mary Kay, Shiseido, Clinique and everything else out there. I love mark. because it is a buildable foundation that works great with a powder brush. You can use it lightly or can easily build up heavier coverage where you need it more. It evens your tone while giving you a natural look - not cakey. I agree that you need a good eye cream to help with the laugh lines. My husband's crow's feet are gone thanks to Avon's Ageless Results Intensive Line Filler. I've also noticed how much brighter the area around his eyes are. Instant results! You can get both products for less than one MAC Studio Fix. By treating your delicate eye area, you won't need to worry about too much coverage. Sounds like you don't want to wear too much makeup.

I am an Avon representative and have taking advanced training in beauty recommendations. Avon is currently carrying a ';mineral'; line of powders. They are very natural looking. What's best is that they are half the price of the top selling brand and work just as well. It's important to know how to apply them, first the base, then you have the option of applying something called ';warmth'; (it gives a great, soft glow) and then the ';mineral veil. It's also really important to be using a good moisturizer which should be applied right before. That helps immensely to reduce the chance of your face looking ';cakey'; no matter what powder you are using. Sounds also like you need a good eye cream. Avon has many but the one I believe is the best is the Clincal Eye Lift. I just started using it myself and I love the results already.
MAC Studio Fix is great. It has a touch of concealer in it so you don't get that ';caked'; look by using a concealer and power separately. I swear by it. It's a little pricey at $24 but it is worth every penny! Good luck!
Go to Mac, get the face powder, it has just the right amount of moist blending in with powder. If you dont like powder try there concealer or liquid powder.:)
bare minerals look at this link...
Clinque's products aid specially in those areas. Go to your local Macy's. They have loose and pressed. It could also be a concealer or cream you are applying.
