I think our Indian players have got used to sun and its heat
its not sunscreen, its some kinda cooling cream, batsmen usually put it on hot sunny days.

skin cancer under the harsh Australian sun is a killer in Australia most all companies now that have staff working out in the open for more than 20 minuets supply their staff with suncream my father who was a grade cricketer unfortunatly did not know in his time about it and the surgans in the later years of his life cut away most of his face its a terrible threat to our sportsman and we owe it to them to keep them safe the time will come when india will look after their skin as the exzperts say there is a thing called global warming and all countries will have to take note not that im a great believer in globle warming but publicity says it there

The white stuff is called ';Zinc'; and is used to protect the skin from sunburn.
some people like Symonds uses it because of some reasons, i can't disclose here
It protects the skin from sun burns a sort of sun screen lotion but why Symonds puts it on his lips is anybody guessing

The players stand for the whole day in sun. The sun rays have slight neuclear effect which damage the face skin. To avoid skin disease, skin saving cream is applied by the players on their face.
