Is face powder better or foundation? or both?Face powder?
The powder is what ';sets'; the foundation, in other words it makes it last longer. If you need cover then both, if you are trying to control shine, just power is fine. It so depends on you and what you are trying to accomplish.Face powder?
both are essential, the powder is used to set the foundation, some people usally top up on the powder when theyre out so that they wont have a shiny face, but dont overdo it, u dont want to look like a clown!
You can consider using Japan brand Miho face powder. Smooth texture with no cakey feel after you apply on your face.
Check out the online store under miho makeup series. Highly recommended. Not sold in any departmental store.
Personally i use foundation, not that ineed it though with my beautiful complexion.
I use bare escentuals mineral powders..鈾?it doesnt clog pores like liquid make up does
Depends on what your skin is like and what look you are going for.
Foundations come in a range of types,
Powder foundation which is good for light to medium coverage on normal to oily skin. You dont need to set powder foundation with another powder.
Liquid foundation which is good for light to medium coverage. If it is oil based it is good for normal to dry skin and gives a dewy finish.
If it is water based, it is good for most skin types and gives a natural finish.
Cream foundation generally give a fuller coverage. Again, if it is oil based, avoid it if you have oily skin.
I always recomend setting your make-up with a transulcent powder, just to make it last a bit longer, but if you have ultra dry skin, you dont have to.
Every brand makes different foundations, so dont judge one foundation on another.
Overall though, the best brands are the pro brands, because they last longer, give better coverage, look better in photos and generally are better for your skin. Some good brands are Laura Mercier (my fave), Bobbie Brown, MAC, Napoleon, Becca, Sue Devitt, Make-Up Forever, Smash Box, Shu Umera, Atelier, Stila, Nars and Cargo, just to name a few.
i use 2 in 1 '; Powder Foundation'; from Guerlain its the best try it :)
It all depends on your Skin Type. If you have Oily Skin you will need powder to keep the shine off your face, if you have Dry Skin you will benefit from using foundation to keep your skin moisturised, if you have Combination Skin you will be better off using both , you should be using powder on your T-line (the area that covers from your fore-head to nose and chin) because this area is prone to oily skin and rest of the face will benefit from foundation .
You use both.
Depending on the coverage you need, but I highly recommend using BEE LUSCIOUS COSMETICS either the liquid powder mineral foundation or the mineral foundation pressed powder and in many cases both just use the pressed powder over the liquid powder as a setting powder with a kabuki brush.
I like cream foundation (Elizabeth Arden) first as the base. Then I use powder to set it.
