Should I wear concealer/loose powder on face?
Well, I don't break out that much and I don't have puffy under eyes, they're just a little dark. So is it wise to wear concealer then apply loose powder? I don't like foundation because I think it's too thick. Thanks for the answers!!!Should I wear concealer/loose powder on face?
Yup! I reccomend is using a concealer lighter than your skin tone. Make sure it's dry before brushing on the loose powder. This way, undereye circles won't show if the powder rubs off. In a pinch, you can cover them with an eyeshadow thats light and shimmery, in baby pink or white.Should I wear concealer/loose powder on face?
Don't worry about using a foundation at all if you don't need it! Use a pink-based concealer because it will hide the darkness under your eyes, as well as brighten them up! Benefit makes a great product called Erase Paste http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/in鈥?/a> that will work awesome! And I don't even think you necessarily have to use powder afterwards either! (I don't always.) Check out the link and you can read the product reviews on it and see if you think it will work!
....or use physicians formula pressed bronzer or powder, apply with a big fluffy face brush---I get it at wal-mart. For dark circles...I use eye shadow in a flesh-tone color and dab it on...sally girl--';Latte'; from sally's beauty supply (well, I'm Caucasian). it is better than the liquid stuff.... and concealer is too thick and cakey....I think.
I love make-up...it's terrible!!!
I say you just get the bare minerals powder, because it works just like concealer, but better, it's not heavy at all and it stays on all day so you don't need to keep applying it.
I think you should just apply concealer.
you should wear concealer
yes wear conceler if you have spots you want to cover more soo yes
drink more water.oreal

Foundation&Face Powder-HELP?
I need to buy new concealer, powder, and foundation. It's only meant to be used as stage make-up, so the make-up I need will not be for every-day use. I need something decent, something that will work for at least for an hour.Primarily, I am low on money. Does anyone have any ideas, and know of something decent and budget friendly?Foundation%26amp;Face Powder-HELP?

Physicians Formula--> Mineral wear face powder?
What are your opinions?Physicians Formula--%26gt; Mineral wear face powder?
i use it...but im not a big fan only cause i have the bronzer and wen i apply it on my cheek...it just makes a blob and it wont spread and i have a new one now and it works better than physicians formula...Physicians Formula--%26gt; Mineral wear face powder?
Physicans formula is def. really GOOD! I love it, but I like Bare Minerals. If you want something mineral and cheap try L'oreal
i love it! escpecially if ur prone to breakouts, i used to use like cover girl or revlon ect, and my fface would be covered in lil pimples, but i switched to this and am now zit free because its oil free, talc free, and non comegenic (sp?) so it doesnt clog pores, but still coveres very well. its the only thing ill wear on my face, plus compared to bare mineral (which is like the same thing) it affordable!
I like it. I use a bigger, fluffier brush than the one that came with it and it goes on nicely. Make sure you tap the brush to get any excess off before applying.

What make up is better for my face? powder or liquid?
which one wont clog my pores??What make up is better for my face? powder or liquid?
use the powder one, or better you use the mineral one. is really good for the skinWhat make up is better for my face? powder or liquid?
if you only need a sheer coverage and to control oil sheen, go for a powder foundation. as it is easier to apply and needn't much blending. A liquid foundation offers more coverage for people with uneven skintone, freckles that they want to hide, redness, small zits, or dull complexion. It is will also end up clogging your pores if you do not thoroughly remove your make up before you sleep, but if you do, it should not be a problem. I personally use a liquid foundation AND a powder foundation after that for a more matte look.
i would personally recommend you to use a liquid foundation because with the right blending, it can look very natural while a powder foundation could look cakey on. both COULD clog your pores if you don't remove them well. :)
Mineral makeup. Liquid foundations are loaded with additional chemicals that can cause something called ';chemcial induced acne'; non acneogenic and non comedogenic on the labels mean absolutely nothing as many of these chemicals are well known to cause skin irritation and acne yet they are still allowed to put it on the label. The beauty industry has almost NO regulations, its pretty scary what people are rubbing into their skin daily and wondering why they have such bad acne, eczema and dry rough skin. These chemcials wreak havoc on your skin and in the future your health as many of them have links to cancers. If you want something that is actually GOOD for your skin while your wearing it I would highly suggest you look into Faerie Organic Minerals. I have compared them to many other brands and they come out on top for many reasons including purity, application and overall appearance. They are light, airy, cover really well (including acne and rosacea) stay put and leave a healthy dewy glow. It really just looks like your natural skin only better. They have a free sample kit that comes with 2 foundations, bronzer and sheer veil, you really should try it and see what a difference it makes for your skin. My clientele loves it as it not only makes them look gorgeous but is good for the skin as well. You can check out their site here........http://www.faerieorganic.com
Powder is more people with oily skin
Liquid is for my dry skin
'
I have combanation skin so right now im using a powder and
when snow falls I'll start useing a liquid
There is no better or wose when it comes to makeup, you have to find which is better for you.
powder is probably better for you, but it's a lot sheerer than liquid, but if you don't need a lot of coverage, then it doesn't matter
everything will clog your pores, whether it says so or not.
i use clinique's liquid (not sure which type), but have been fast becoming a fan of physician's formula powder (you can get it at any drug store)
if you get the right quality product, neither one will clog them.
but if you want good coverage from a powder, I suggest bare minerals.
the starter kit at sephora is really amazing.
both will clog your pores. just when you use liquid make sure you dont rub it in your skin, cause that will be worse. =)

Who the first introducer of the face powder? please help me?
Way back – like in 10,000 BC, cosmetics were used to enhance the beauty of the female countenance.
4000 BC The Egyptians: Here we see the first archeological evidence of cosmetics. They used cosmetic cleansers made from vegetable or animal oil mixed with powdered lime and perfume – the Egyptians held a strong connection between their cosmetic makeup and their spirituality.
The East 1500 BC: In China and Japan rice powder was used to paint faces pasty white. Eyebrows were shaved and plucked, and teeth were painted gold or black and Henna dyes, were used to stain hair and faces.
1000 BC Greece:use of cosmetics was predominantly – well, cosmetic. They were still interested in looking good, but not for the gods – for each other. So they adopted the Egyptian cosmetic practices and products. Everybody wanted the “real white” look given by wearing chalk or white lead face powder.
100 AD Rome:, the Romans moved in, with their life of frivolity and debauchery. The Egyptians’ cosmetic formulas were used for even less spiritual purposes, like aphrodisiacs. However, vanity was still an issue, so cosmetics still had a place on the face – and on the rest of the body, too. It was said by one Roman, a man named Platus, that “a woman without paint is like food without salt.”
14th Century: Cosmetics were regarded as a health threat because many thought they would block proper circulation.
15th -16th Centuries
In Europe, cosmetics were used only by the aristocracy. Italy and France became the chief centers of Cosmetics manufacturing.
17th -18th Century: Cosmetics are now in use by all except the very poorest classes of society. Red rouge and lipstick were used extensively to suggest health, wealth and gayety.
Before the 19th Century Through many centuries, a pale face was the desired look because it defined your place in society. It was recognized that those who worked in the fields had tanned and rugged skin. They were the working class, not to be associated with the upper refined class, who had white skin. Those with pale skin were the ones who had enough money that they didn’t need to work. And to achieve that look, women and men used a powder made of hydroxide, carbonate, and lead oxide. Unfortunately, there was a price to pay for looking “proper” – lead poisoning. That’s why an alternative was sought. And they found it, in the 19th century –
19th Century: France again. They develop chemical processes to replace fragrances made by the natural methods and the facial powder of lead and copper, by zinc oxide (still in use today). Zinc oxide becomes widely used as a facial powder, replacing the more deadly mixtures of lead and copper previously used.
20th Century: mass marketed of cosmetics. In 1950s: We begin the modern era of the cosmetics business as we know it. Face powders and makeup, tanning oils and fragrances are mass marketed to an essentially “new” post war society that is tired of shortages. Popular sponsors of radio soap operas transfer their ads to the new medium of television.Who the first introducer of the face powder? please help me?

Multi-colored face powder?
I'm tempted to buy one of those face powders will the little multi-toned squares which is supposed to blend perfectly with any tone. Has anyone tried that?Multi-colored face powder?
I have a compact like that by PHYSICIANS FORMULA and I simply LOVE it! It's also not expensive so if it doesn't work for you it's NOT the end of the world... The compact is nice and sturdy with a mirror and place for a small round/brush... I have a brush I LOVE from ELF the total face brush $1 and it's terrific! I use the bronzing blush multi tone and it looks fab. One of my workmates said '; I looked radiant'; good enough for me!
Sometimes you can find a $1 off coupon(s) from PHYS. FORM in the Sunday paper or on line.... Or if you don't like it depending on the store policy you can return it.... I think RITE AID is like that..
Good luckMulti-colored face powder?
Thats a lie. I have tried them and they are nothing special. Beware of the lies advertisers get away with. NARS has excellent face powder as does MAC. All one color powders blend the best not multi color, unless you want a multi color face, and they say it blends better haha! I hope that makes sense to you.
I like it... To make the colors more even take the powder on the brush and then swirl it around in the lid a bit to make it more even on the brush. Sometimes if you don't do that, it will leave some brown splotches...depends on which brand you want to use though. Good luck! :)
yup.. and its good and easy to use.
try versace powder its really great..
Good Luck !!
I have, it is wonderful. Gives you a nice healthy glow.

Does pressed face powder(coverup) EXPIRE or get not any good after a while?!?!?!?!!?
ive had this pressed base coverup for 3 years and only used it 4 times with a brush that ive used in other powders though?
i have SEVERE CYSTIC ACNE and was wondering if it would be ok to use the power after it being so long?Does pressed face powder(coverup) EXPIRE or get not any good after a while?!?!?!?!!?
you might want to clean the pad or brush because bacteria and oil stay in it and stey say make up expires after one yearDoes pressed face powder(coverup) EXPIRE or get not any good after a while?!?!?!?!!?
it should be ok but i wouldn't use it
Get rid of the powder asap, yes all make up expires. Throw all make up away that is a year or more old.
No, throw it away. Just like mascara and lipstick, powder, foundation, eyeshadows/blush, all can go bad.
You are taking oil off your face and putting it into the powder container, and then returning it to your face everytime you use it.
Everything has an expiration or shelf life - including water!
So throw it away.

Face powder suggestions?
Hi, I was just wondering what the best face powder you've used/recommendations, because I really need a new one. Also it would have to be one I can get in the UK :) I have combo skin, so it has to be oil absorbent, and doesn't clog up my pores. Any suggestions would be brilliant, thanks =DFace powder suggestions?
L'oreal true match powder.
they have a wide range of tones, so it;s easy to find the one that suits your skin exactly. also, it's SOO soft/smooth so you will get a nice even but natural looking finish, and it's easy to apply.Face powder suggestions?
What I use that helps for your face if you have acne, or pimples, is:

Face powder for oily skin? (10 points)?
I want something that will last as long as possible, without me having to re apply it. Do you know which powder is best for oily skin?Face powder for oily skin? (10 points)?
you shouldn't put any cosmetic or powder on oily skin as it'll clot your pores and will everntually make you to have pimples more quickly.wash your face more often and take good care of it.Face powder for oily skin? (10 points)?
bare minerals. it is made to stay onto the skin longer.
before you apply your make up, use some Clean %26amp; Clear Instant Oil Absorbing Wipes, which soaks up all the oil.
im using clinique pressed powder....works good
the mac blot powder....is really good to erase oil,but doesn't do anything else,so if you are looking for coverage try mac studio fix powder foundation..........i'll be trying that next.
Talcum powder, whether it's formulated for the body or if it's loose face powder, is oil-free. What's more, talc blots the oil on your skin. For more details on oily skin log on to http://useinfo-oilyskin.blogspot.com/
i would ask a professional because the powder may clog your pores.
Okay, there is this stuff that proactive has which is for oily skin it reduces it a lot, its not expense at all.
Also, I would get some mineral powder for my face because the other powders may clog your pores. That should work, use liquid foundation then put the powder over it.
Just make sure its all mineral otherwise your face will break out.
I hope I helped. :)
K well I have oily skin too and I use 2 kinds of powder. 1st a compact to hide blemishes then a suttle powder. Check Covergirl if you already haven't that's what I use and it works for me.
yes its kinda expensive but its worth it. try MAC's blot powder its $21 USD but its worth it. i only use it once a day in the morning before i go to school
I use this one http://laminerals.com/oil-control-powder鈥?/a> It's really good, made with minerals and lasts all day. I use it on my forehead, eyelids, and nose. LOVE IT!!!
mac studio fix POWERDER foundation
i have really oily skin, and i got bare minerals, and it made it way worse, stay away from liquids, and bare minerals is known as acting like a liquid foundation, maybe go with proactive solutions makeup, or MAC or benefit
you shouldn't put any cosmetic or powder on oily skin as it'll clot your pores and will everntually make you to have pimples more quickly.wash your face more often and take good care of it.Face powder for oily skin?

I am allergic to eye shadows. I am using darker face powder but have problems with color, any suggestions?
You need to use ' Hypo-allergenic ' make-up, it is usually more expensive but if you really want to wear make-up then its the way to go.
Face powder bronzer question?
can anybody reccomend me a nice bronzer/ light pink blush or hilighter compact in one .
and maybe a nice brand like , MAC , estee Lauder , Clinique around those proce ranges and can be ordered online?
thanksFace powder bronzer question?
My favorite blush is Margin powder blush by MAC.
It's shimmery and light so it gives you a dewy look that matches your red undertones. I also have red undertones. When you use really brown bronzers your faces starts to look like a tomato. (Trust me I've done this a couple of times!) So Thats why I like margin.
I hope you like it or try it. Good luck!! **Face powder bronzer question?
i think nars blush would be pretty good its hard to tell without seeing you but nars can be bought at sephora and online and its not expensive.. there is the orgasam one which is a light pink with a little sparkle in it an it look beautiful on alot of people so tyr that or try a mac color from the rose romance collection they have alot of light pinks and good bronzers.
Mark. brand cosmetics have a customizeable compact that you can choose a variety of blushes, shadows and bronzers to be put into the case. I get the brand from my avon lady, but I am pretty sure you can order it online.
skin tone?
i'd recommend MAC bronzer for sure.

but it's hard to give a specific color without knowing your shade.

Is conceler or face powder better?
better as in better for your skin, not cover spots better...Is conceler or face powder better?
depends-
if the concerlear says non-hypoallergenic then it's ok for your skin
if the face powder is a pressed powder, it can make acne worse so use a loose powder.
i think that mineral makeup is the bestfor your skinIs conceler or face powder better?
i like concealer because the ones i use contain salycilic acid which makes your skin clearer.
i dont like powder after it comes off, but it looks a little bit more even wen its on :)
I'd say concealer cause its more moisturizing
both leave behind the weird spots
it depends on the brand you use... however, powder is probably better because it dosnt seep into your skin and clog your pores : D

I have a tenner to spend. I want to buy foundation AND a face powder. Probly from superdrug.wat 1s r best?
Rimmel does face powders for 拢3.49 (before they cut VAT, so It'll be less now :D )
and for Foundation, off the top of my head, you might be able to get the Dream Matte Mousse from Maybelliene 拢4.84, or the Bourjois 10 Hour Sleep Effect foundation, which is 拢6.76
Of course, if you got a powder foundation, you would be able to get away with out the powder.
The Boots website has everything on it :)
Good luck, hope this helps :)

Is leaving baby powder in skin overnight (particularly in face) is bad? Why?
I heard that leaving make up overnight is not good for the skin. So, I thought how about baby powder? Well, just using it to have matte looking face during the night. Is leaving baby powder in skin overnight (particularly in face) is bad? Why?
It may dry your skin a little but you would be fine.

How do you like your girls? Heavily made up? Or simple, with pressed powder and lip gloss on their face only?
i wear- troubled mineral blush- so good, cover girl loose powder, great lash mascara, expert wear eyeshadow and a brown eyeliner. amazingly all that looks natural. u just need to know your shades and what type is good for u!!
i think girls who wear makeup like tons and have he wrong shades and just layer and cake it on, is just trying to get guys. i know a few girls and everyone thinks they are slutty. which they are but still, and they are in the bathroom after every class putting more makeup on!How do you like your girls? Heavily made up? Or simple, with pressed powder and lip gloss on their face only?
i don't see how caking on makeup can mean 'sex sex sex' a lot of girls cover themselves with a shitload of makeup because they are insecure and want to look like the magazine girls who are dubbed as 'the only pretty' the media potrays one pretty. woman are expected to look good all the time. the typical airbrushed, 99 pound figured, blonde haired orange skinned girl is what is potrayed as what's right. you can't escape it. its hard to think straight in such a material infested society let alone be yourself. stop worrying about what man are so hyped up on and just be yourself! How do you like your girls? my boyfriend tells me that he prefers me with ';nude'; make up because heavy make up looks like a mask to him. he says though that on special occasions he'd be okay with heavy make up on me. **once in awhile its alright** what's more, the more natural you look on a day to day basis, the less shocked he'll be when he gets to see you without make up. i dont know about other guys though, but i like what my boyfriend thinks.
well I'm not 'into girls' because I am a girl. But personally when I see heavily made up girls I think they look awful and if I were a guy I would not attracted to that at all.
Also people who wear really heavy makeup look completely different without it on. Those who wear less don't look as different 'bare faced'.
i think they just look at the girls differently. light make up? sweet and long term. painted face? sex. sex. sex.oreal

Face Powder Question?
I normally wear a soft ivory foundation with matching powder. However, in the summer months, could I just go up a color in the powder to give me a more sunkissed look or do I have to change both foundation and powder?Face Powder Question?
I find it convenient to have a foundation/powder for the cooler months when I'm pasty, then a darker shade in the summer when I get a bit of colour in my face.
If you don't want to purchase a new foundation, you can try mixing a little liquid bronzer with your foundation (provided its a liquid too) to give you a more tanned sunkissed lookFace Powder Question?
JUst change the powder.
Go with a bronzer, It will give you a sun kissed look with shimmer! And you wont get a mask affect!
In the summer use a bronzer. buy a massive powder brush and give it a swish in the bronzer then tap off the excess. Apply it lightly and with sweeping movements across your cheeks nose, forehead and chin and then across your neck and chest. Follow with your usual powder to blend it in and use a gloss on your lips.
The idea is to make it look like you have caught the sun, in a good way, on the areas you normally would without looking like you have been tangoed.
Lancome have some lovely products.
In the summer I use tinted moisturizer. It is lighter than make up and has sunscreen. You may want to try that instead of foundation. I sometimes wear loose powder over it.
If you do wear both foundation and powder, they should match closely. To look sunkissed use blush.
change both or you will look kind of wierd.. no offense
You would need to use both foundation and powder the same color, otherwise if you have the foundation being 1 color and the powder being another color, it's just going to be too much color and your face will look uneven.

A natural looking face powder?
i do not like liquid foundation and instead use powder...right now i'm using Estee Lauder and it is really heavy...it even makes my nose look bigger when i put it on!!! can you give me a suggestion as to which powder to use on my face...i do need it because i have acne scars. i also have very oily skin and pretty light skin but i want it to look tan like my skin on my body. any suggestions? thanks a ton :)A natural looking face powder?
I'm using everyday minerals now but was using bare minerals for 3 years. It feel really light and has enough coverage for me. I prefer the semi-matte finish because it's not matte or heavy but it's not as shiny as bare minerals or the glow finish. Everyday minerals has the same 4 ingredients as bare minerals, but without the 5th ingredient of bismuth oxychloride which can make some peoples' skin oily and shiny.
You can get a free 5-piece sample kit like I did from everydayminerals.com, it was only $3 shipping for me. I wash my face, moisturize and then apply the concealer then foundation and I don't even use a finishing powder. Then after about 4 hours I use an oil blotting sheet to absorb any oil on my face. There is an intensive foundation by everyday minerals but it felt too heavy to me so I'm going to be using the semi-matte.
It's really important to have 2 good brushes though - a concealer brush and a foundation brush. I'm using bare escentual ones because they go with my bare minerals, but other brands like sephora and ulta should be good. I own 3 sizes of Kabukis and while they're good for applying the foundation, I actually prefer the heavenly brush: http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?鈥?/a>
It gives me a lot better coverage and better blending but is still not heavy at all.
Concealer brushes should be easier than finding a really good foundation brush, everyday minerals has one on their site for $6 and bare escentuals and sephora have ones for $16-18.

What does set mean in this sentence? After applying concealer put some powder on your face to *set* concealer?
PLZ ANSWER!!!What does set mean in this sentence? After applying concealer put some powder on your face to *set* concealer?
The word 'set' means that the powder will keep the concealer how you put it on, it will keep it in place. Concealer is pliable, if you do not set it with powder (unless its a mouse concealer) it will crease or move / slip down or rub off your face. It will also look seperate to the rest of your make up. The powder blends it all in. Loose neutral / translucent powders are best. What does set mean in this sentence? After applying concealer put some powder on your face to *set* concealer?
concealer itself will wear off just from the oil on your skin. So pretty much by 6 hours, you might as well have no worn concealer or it will go very blotchy and cakey.
If you put powder over your concealer, it will ';set'; it. It will absorb the oil that normally makes your concealer wear off sooner, and it will also blend it with the rest of your skin a little bit better.
It means you put powder on your concealer so that it can last longer throughout the day. Doing this will keep your concealer from fading and 'melting' off.
by setting your concealer (putting powder over your concealer), it helps your foundation last longer and not look so shiny
You put powder over it so it stays put and doesn't get shiny.

Any face powder is suitable for sensitive face??
thanksAny face powder is suitable for sensitive face??
bare minerals from the infomercial. i know doctors that wear it, and one particular doctor that has sensitive skin from a second and third degree burn. it's a bit expensive at first but all you really need is 2 brushes and one shade. the shade with the concealer brush is an exact match and the same shade with the large brush is great for foundation. the mineral veil, warmth and all those others are nice but not a necessity.

Mineral Wear, You can buy it at drugstores or Targets or Walmarts... etc. I have super sensitive skin, and it doesn't bother me. I've been useing it for months, however I have started to break out because of it. Make sure you wash your face every day and night!

Can i apply talcom powder on my face after using lakme sunscreen crem?
I'm guessing you want to know to avoid looking greasy after the suncream. My advice avoid talcum powder as it will be very light and may discolour your skin. It may also be too heavy for your face. Look at an inexpsensive face powder such as Boot's natural collection loose powder. Can i apply talcom powder on my face after using lakme sunscreen crem?

Physicians formula face powder?
i have a very light skin tone and i have redness in my face and my face gets very oily by the afternoon
is the physicians formula multi coloured face powder good?
also, which shade would be good for me? translucent or creamy naturalPhysicians formula face powder?
That is what i use. I have a mix of medium and fair skin tone so i use creamy natural. But since you have light skin go with the translucent. Creamy natural fits me perfectly and since you have light skin try translucent.

Oil free face powder (preferably drugstore brand)?
whats a good face powder that's good to use for people with very very oily skin?
i assume that its the face powder i'm using now from avon that causes my bangs to get extremely oily really fast.
preferably one from a drugstore.
thanks.Oil free face powder (preferably drugstore brand)?
Yes, Avon is what I call ';old-people-makeup.'; Well, my friends and I do because it is worthless crap that isn't any better than L'Oreal, Neutrogena, etc. A great brand would be Clinique for any of your foundation needs, but one of my favorite drugstore face powders is CoverGirl Advance Radiance powder. It's oil-free and gives you a smooth, creamy-soft look. I love it!!!Oil free face powder (preferably drugstore brand)?
Recently, i come across the make up product from ';MAKA';. Did u heard about it? I found it really fantastic which i personal saw the demostration done by a professional from Taiwan. If u r keen, please email your detail to mydesire07@yahoo.com.sg in order to contact you.
Think about it %26amp; it definitely will help u up.

whats a good face powder?
im not very happy with the one i have and im about to bu a new one.
just dont know what brand and what kind to try next. FYI:
(I dont have oily skin)A good face powder? i need help in which to buy?
coolio! okay so one question is loose or pressed?
loose is much more effective but can be a bit messy if spilled
pressed is less effective but isn't to messy
my favorite loose powder is:
http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>
my bestest pressed powder is:
http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a>
both of these products are phenomenal! want proof? just scroll down and read the reviews!!
like you, i dont have oily skin, i have combination, so face powder is not absolutley vital for oil control. Instead I use it to create a matte finish which both of these products provide!
hope this helps!!!

Love, Little Miss LollypopA good face powder? i need help in which to buy?
I really like Rimmel stay matte powder and Mac mineralized skinfinsh natural powder.
L'Oreal is the best brand of drugstore make-up. try using mineral make up as well.

Is N.Y.C. a good brand for cosmetics? (asking about face powder)?
I saw it's pretty cheap, and the price makes me unsure..
I rarely wear make up, but I want to get some powder, just in case (like special occasions).
Well, has anyone tried any of the N.Y.C. powders? How do you like them?Is N.Y.C. a good brand for cosmetics? (asking about face powder)?
If i were you i would get Revlon Colorstay Powder foundation. Much better than NYC.Is N.Y.C. a good brand for cosmetics? (asking about face powder)?
I've tried NYC pressed powders, as well as their mineral powder foundations. I really liked them. They're comparable to more expensive brands in good ways and in bad. NYC is a cheaper brand because they don't spend their money in advertising. Not often do you see an add in a magazine or on TV for their products, so they can afford to lower their prices. Other brands, like Revlon and L'Oreal, spend so much money advertising their products, they have to raise their prices to make profit.
I have a couple of their products, mostly nail polishes. The products aren't the worst, but they aren't the best quality. You get for what you pay for. NYC usually is a brand that younger children and teens buy.
It is cheap, but i think it's one of the better brands.
I have tried the liquid eyeliner that's like (at an estimated guess) $1.78?
And it works really good.
I have them, i like them because they cover blemishes but it fades away in the long run and makes you look pale when you first put it on.
to me it seems very cheap in quality i would suggest covergirl clean makeup.
i use to use the nyc poweder it was pretty good
i also like there lip sticks...i use them a lot plus there cheap :)
They are okaay but overly powdery.
Spent a couple more dollars on Covergirl
I wouldn't bet on it, I think you should try Revlon for face make up (:
Yes I am absou;utly inlove with nyc and wet n wild both of these are very good makeup brands. so hope this helped.
its like w./e theres better out there like revlon
but dats why its cheap

Should i use the face powder after.............?
Generally after cleaning the face, applying the toner and moisturizer............i used the face powder over it. Is there any harm from this process? I cant live without the dry powder.Should i use the face powder after.............?
No, just as long as you allow your moisturizer to dry completely before applying your powder.Should i use the face powder after.............?
it is safe but u should use less powder
depends on ur skin.but on harm.
According to the powder only we can tell. Wash our face daily at least 5 times if your skin is oily After wash your face if you apply some creams them you have to let the face to dry and then only you can apply powder but very little is enough. Before going to bed after getting up from the bed you must wash your face . It is used to maintain our face without pimples and black marks.
hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii sony
there is nooooooo problem 2 use face powder
get mineral makeup powder it is better for your skin
It depends on your skin type. If its not oily or problem, for sure you can use powder
its okay, just use good brands, and clean the brush regularly,or the sponge( like every week with shampoo or gentle soab)

I ran out of loose powder and i have not money what is something else i can use so my face wont shine?
i usually first put on my liquid foundation then my loose powder, then a little bronzer for a little color what do you suggest?I ran out of loose powder and i have not money what is something else i can use so my face wont shine?
Baby powder or cornstarch.I ran out of loose powder and i have not money what is something else i can use so my face wont shine?
baby powder can work well but cornstarch'll also do
baby powder
just keep a lot of blotting papers handy
Baby powder. If you don't have that. Drink plenty of water through out the day.
BABY POWDER or CORNSTARCH
You can brush on cornstarch with a powder brush. This should work OK in the meantime.
baby powder works wonders, use lightly and smooth it out.

Everytime I put on face powder stuff on my cheeks it looks really flakey and not natural. HELP!?
Im a face makeup beginner! Please help. Are there steps??Everytime I put on face powder stuff on my cheeks it looks really flakey and not natural. HELP!?
u need moisurizer on firstEverytime I put on face powder stuff on my cheeks it looks really flakey and not natural. HELP!?
use a mist of evian water after
is it cheapo producto?
You need to put something like tinted moisturizer or foundation on first so the powder can stick.
Cleanse, tone, moisturizer.
First, clean your skin with your face wash. You might want to try one with exfoliating beads, like one from the St. Ives line to remove dead flakey skin to ensure a natural looking, even application. Next, use a toner meant for your skin type. If you have dry skin, stay away from ones with alcohol in them. Next, put on your face moisturizer to keep skin glowing and to make sure your face powder goes on smooth.
Hope this helps!
First, be sure to apply lotion before putting it on and before you go to bed at night.
Also, be sure to brush up and down not side to side and don't apply it too thick.
well, here's what i do everytime before putting on powder or make up. i usually start off by mosturizing my face using loreal pure zone mosturizing lotion. it gives u the smooth n shiny effect on ur skin after u put the powder on. try it!
MOISTERIZE
Sounds like your skin could be a little dry, before you put any powders on use a face moisturizer, give it time to get into your skin and then do your regular powdering.
Use some moisterizer...although you should use some natural stuff such as bare essentials/minerals...I love it and it feels like you have nothing on!! Good luck, beautiful!!
why do u need it natural beauty=true beauty
Don't use a powder then. You can just use a light conceler or an airbrush. If that doesn't work, use lotion or see your dematologist. You may just have an allergic reaction to something in the powder.
After applying powder use a large ';buffer'; brush to even out powder and remove excess.
Make sure you apply moisturizer, then base (foundation), then powder. However, only apply powder where you think you will need it (T Zone usually). What skin type do you have? (ie. dry, oily, combo, normal) Make sure the products you buy for your face (including your cosmetics) go with the type of skin you have. If you are skiny pretty much all over within an hour of washing your face, you are oily. If you get shiny only on the T zone and dry on the cheeks, you are combo. If you can go several hours without an oily messy, you are normal. Dry is, well, obviously, dry and tight. Sometimes patches of dry skin or flakiness/ashiness. You also mentioned you were a beginner. I am not sure how old you are or what kind of a budget you are working with, but I highly suggest visiting a make-up counter at least once a year. They can give you tips etc. for free - even if you get sucked into buying a product or two, I have always believed the if you spend ANY money on your cosmetics, you need to on base, powder, and concealer. Many women wear the wrong color and have a hideous line around their chin and sides of their face. At least, they can point you in the right direction with facial products. Good luck!
Get a good moisturizer, then apply your foundation. And follow that with the powder.
The powder will set all other make-up, especially if you're using a creme blush.

Ok like i have these little bumps on my face. can baby powder help?
i need it gone before school starts. it starts next week! i need help!!!Ok like i have these little bumps on my face. can baby powder help?
NO, baby powder will block your pores. Try toothpaste or peroxide.Ok like i have these little bumps on my face. can baby powder help?
Well, it all depends on what the bumps are but, baby powder isn't really going to help anything unless you have a weeping rash. For acne, use a gentle cleanser and apply a drop of lavender essential oil three times a day. If it's not acne it could be any number of things: wind burn, rosacea, keratosis, allergic reaction, etc. If you don't know what caused the bumps and they have only recently appeared it would be a good idea to see a dermatologist.
Baby powder wouldn't help that much. What you need to do is cleanse your face with pro-active. It works for many others. Keep your face clean and wash it several times a day.
crush up asprin and put some on your face like a mask.
or try alum or tea tree oil
and when you go to sleep out Neosporin on your face.
all of the above work really well for me.
C:
good luck
baby powder will clog your skin and probably make it worse. Try to find a good face cleaner. I like the Aveeno line. I have sensitive skin, and it works well for me.
i wouldn't use baby powder, i would use ponds dry skin cream, i get breakouts alot and its from dry skin i would use that you can get it at Walgreen's, wall-mart, and hyvee, or any drugstore.

Why does my face feel tight when I put on powder?
I use Clean Pressed Powder by CoverGirl [ http://www.covergirl.com/products/produc鈥?/a> ], and whenever I put it on, my face feels real tight. And the thing is, I don't even put a lot on.
So, what's the reason for this? Why does my face feel tight when I put on powder?
sounds like you have normal to dry skin. Moisturizer, will do the trick but try and find a good foundation first
Or you can use a compact like this if you dont want to use foundation first
http://shop.avon.com/shop/product.aspx?s鈥?/a>
It goes on like a cream to help soothe your tight feeling skin but dries as a powderWhy does my face feel tight when I put on powder?
sounds like the powder is drying out your skin, try putting on a face moisturizer before applying the powder and you should feel a difference.
because the powder is absorbing oil in your skin, drying it out.
try some lotion after you shower or wash your face

Can i use sandalwood oil or powder daily on my face?
mine is an oily skin. Can i use sandalwood oil or powder daily on my face?
its depends upon your skin.although it is good for face but dont use it unnecessarily.if your skin is clear(no pimples, spot etc)then it will be no harmful to ur skin and if ur skin is OILY then it is not necessary. But sandalwood power is good for ALL TYPES OF SKIN.Apply it on ur face after mixing it with ROSE WATER.if u hav aloe vera juice, then u can add little with it(for best result.
Hav a nice day...!Can i use sandalwood oil or powder daily on my face?
I'm guessing this is similar to an ubtan. I have oily skin as well, and a friend of mine from Pakistan suggested I give it a try. I did, and let's just say it was wonderful! Daily is nice, but if you find your face getting a bit too dry, try it every other day or maybe twice a week.
And it smells soooooo gooooood....

The best face powder?
I would like to try a new powder. I prefer loose ones. Please don't say Mac because I cant afford that but I dont want covergirl ect either.
I was thinking marykaye or avon ect. Any suggestions. The best face powder?
Marcelle makes a really great one, comes in a few different colours, I just use the translucent one though,It's hypo-allergenic, it's about $12 and comes in a 70G container, worth the money!!! Found at drugstoresThe best face powder?
Avon has a loose powder that is passable. They also have their own version of the mineral makeup.
A cheap version that feels pricey is Loreal color match. I was really happy with that.
My very favorite though is bare escentuals mineral veil. It takes care of any shiny area of your face, is weightless, and feels great.
You shy try BB creams instead :)
The BB Cream, aka Blemish Balm, is the hottest beauty product in Asia right now. It has the advantages of both a makeup and skincare product. It can even out skintone, camouflage undereye circles, acne scars and add radiance to the skin without the heavy mask-like effects of a foundation.

Which face powder brand is the best Clinique, shiseido or bare escentuals? (oily skin)?
I just started using bare escentuals and I love it. Like you, I have oily skin and have a hard time finding a good makeup that doesn't look horrible by mid-day. The good thing about bare escentuals is that it doesnt clog your pores. The last brand I tried, ruined my skin and now I am trying to get it back to normal. Also, I have a bad habit of going to bed without washing my face so that didn't help my skin at all. So, when I read that you could sleep in Bare Escentuals without it hurtign your skin, I was all for it. Ever since I started wearing it, I have been getting compliments daily on my skin... which is really nice because I used to be oily and shiny! It is a little expensive but I guess at some point you have to decide whether spending a lot of makeup is worth it. To me, it was. I just get eyeshadow, mascara, lipstick at Wal-green's. And order the other stuff through Bare Escentuals.Which face powder brand is the best Clinique, shiseido or bare escentuals? (oily skin)?

Which face powder brand is the best Clinique, shiseido or bare escentuals? (oily skin)?
I use Clinique for many years. Its gentle on my skin %26amp; give good coverage.. Would encourage u to go to the respective counters to try on your skin. coz everyone is different
I use M.A.C it's the best powder ... go to a counter they will assist you ... they will know whats best for ur skin type
clinique superpowder double face makeup is the best
great coverage, keeps my face looking matte and flawless
bare escentuals!
I actually prefer Sheer Cover. It's just like Bare Escentuals only way cheaper. It's great for oily skin, not so good on dry. I love it. My skin has improved so much since using it, and it's very easy to put on. And it has SPF15 so I don't have to put an extra nasty layer of sunscreen. You can buy Sheer Cover at Bed, Bath and Beyond.
I would highly highly suggest bare essentials. more specifically bare minerals. I have oily skin as well and it keeps the shine under control. Not only is this makeup actually good for your skin, but it protects it from the sun as well. It gives your skin a healthy glow and will stay on through exercise and heat and will not melt off like other foundations. It contains only 5 ingredients %26amp; is very natural. definately a much better choice than the others mentioned! Hope this helps!
Bare escentuals Mineral Veil is the best for the oily skin. It not only sops up oil, but makes skin look poreless and luminous.
Bare Escentuals. They're made with natural minerals, it's not that expensive, and it never looks caked on when you wear it. Goodluck!!

Best face powder to use?
what is the best facial powder brand i can buy? i have tried maybelline and revlon. pretty ok. also, what is the difference between translucent powder and pressedBest face powder to use?
Mineral foundation----it works good and isn't that bad for your skin. Best face powder to use?
I use, Miss sport or Collection 2000. I think they are good, and not very pricey either.
Rimmel london is good, but expensive.
translucent is a very sheer powder that has virtually no color it it- basically just for shine control.
pressed powder has color and shine control in it.
i personally like the ';milani'; minerals pressed powder the best. they sell it at walgreens.

Advice on a good face powder?
Hiya..im in the UK and need advice on a good face powder i can buy from boots or Superdrug at a reasonable price. I use it on my T zone as have oily skin there and am prone to some blemishes. My skin is also quite sensitive. I'm pale and need one that isnt going to show up to dark or make my skin look flakey.
Thanks a lot if u can suggest anythingAdvice on a good face powder?
Well i use a amazing one, it's from superdrug in the miss sporty section, it's called miss sporty so clear, and its for anti-spots actions. It's dead good, i've never got spots from it and its really good for sensitive skin, :]
It's around 拢3, and it does last for quite a while, i'd suggest getting it.
You'd bee amazed at the results (:
I hope this helps, good luck ;xxAdvice on a good face powder?
Alright, first off do not use face powder if your face is oily. This will only absorb the oil, not get rid of it. This will make your face more prone to acne, and it will keep bacteria on your face longer. It'll also be harder to wash off, even if you can't see it on the surface.
The better alternative to getting shine off is by getting oil blotting papers. You can get really good ones at any drugstore at even better prices than face powder. Some of them come loaded with a bit of powder on it. These are okay, but try to steer clear of these unless you absolutely need some powder.
But if you must use a face powder, get something hypoallergenic. Maybelline has a good line of face powders, I'm sure that you they have a shade that will be good for you.
Good luck!
Hi I've tried nearly every face powder out there and I still think one of the best ones is Natural Collection loose powder from Boots, I'm pale and I am also oily and prone to blemishes, I get the translucent one but there is also one called cool which may be more suited to you depending on how pale you are :) It's only about 拢2.00 and it's amazing it doesn't cake and if you see a little bit of shine just add a bit more and it blends in perfectly :D

i would first try switching up your lotion to a more soothing one to provide a calm base for the powder to apply to (i personally love aveeno...any kind of their lotion works fabulously)...then if you're willing to pay for department store makeup, estee lauder has amazing products for skin (powder/concealer/foundation)...if you want a drugstore type, i'd say go for almay or neutrogena...and try looking for types that say ';senstive skin'; on them. i hope that helps! :)

iam 16, and i have spots. my face becomes greasy often. but i started applying powder after a face wash, and it really feels fresh. can i keep on using it, or will it interfere with my spots? Can i use face powder?
face powder is ok to use.
I would like you to try out alum which is an astringent and it could get rid of the greasiness too. All you have to do is take a peice of alum dip it in some water and rub it on your skin. Let the water evapourate off and it leaves you with a wonderful nongreasy skin for a day.Can i use face powder?

Loose powder or face powder?
I've been using pressed powder since I started wearing makeup and would like to try something new (only #2 and #3 are loose powder) now that the powder has diminished.
I don't know which one to choose and would like you to give me your opinion if you are using/ have used any of the following products:
1. Bobbi Brown face powder 1oz $32
2. Benefit bluff dust 0.5oz $22
3. Laura Mercier loose setting powder 1oz $32
And brushes:
1. Benefit bluff puff $20
2. Bobbi Brown face brush $35Loose powder or face powder?
I LOVE BENEFIT!! definitely get the benefit powder and brush. they are amazing!Loose powder or face powder?
It depends what your routine is. If you're only going with powder, you can do loose. If you're using foundation, go with pressed that you put on afterward to get ride of shine.
if you use foundation then you just put setting loose powder and just touch up with a pressed powder throughout the dayeye liner

A good face powder that makes u ';glow';?
Hi there! I sell both Mary Kay and Avon and I love products from both. My favorite from everything I sell is the mineral powder foundation. I've always wanted something to cover my big pores and make my thin lips look bigger. If you want a glowing face this is it! My face looks shimmery but not shiny and glittery. I love the finish. If you want to email I'll be happy to give you some tips and tell you what my favorites are and what my friends and family are buying. You absolutely don't have to buy a thing, but I can tell you about whatever it is you're looking for and even send you a few samples if you'd like!A good face powder that makes u ';glow';?

Does liquid foundation give your face a more radiant glowing look than mineral powder?
Any brand recomendations?Does liquid foundation give your face a more radiant glowing look than mineral powder?
Not necessarily. It depends on the brand and technique you use to put it on. If you use a liquid foundation it's best to use a foundation brush to apply it. That way you get more of an even application w/o using too much. When you use your hands to put it on people usually use too much and it looks cakey. MAC has nice foundations that can help you achieve different looks. You have to go to a department store that carries it or else you will have a really hard time finding it online. (Macys, Nordstrom, etc.) Their makeup artist will sit you down right there and help you find your color and the look you're trying to achieve.
On the other hand, minerals give your skin a very healthy and natural look. And it's supposed to be better for your skin. I use Bare Minerals by Bare Essentuals. You can get the The Get Started Kit or something like that. Sephora sells it and actually I thought I saw it in Target believe it or not. They have their own stores as well but I'm not sure where you're from. But it consists of 2 colors (med. and med. beige for example), 1 translucent finishing powder, 1 bronzer, 1 ';blush'; color, a flawless application brush and one for more concentrated areas, along with a how-to DVD. I bought it bc I wanted to give it a try and I really liked it. It always looks so natural. And it's a huge line with many different kinds of looks to choose from. You should check it out.
I'm not a cosmetologist, but I wanted to be so I love make up and am always trying different kinds. Hope this helped!Does liquid foundation give your face a more radiant glowing look than mineral powder?
no, it takes out any natural flush you had in your cheeks, If you wear foundation, make sure you wear a LITTLE blush or bronser to return the glow/color to your face
yes

Face powder, does it have a name?
Right now all I wear is eyeliner and mascara, but I want to look into getting some face powder (mainly to cover up the worst of my acne) but I don't know what it's called and I don't think they just call it ';powder';. I DON'T want foundation tho, that stuff's gross. :P
thanks!Face powder, does it have a name?
You got it. Its called loose powder. You'd probably really like mineral foundations. They're light, comfortable and natural looking.
Depending on what your budget is, there's lots of places to buy online. If you can afford it, my favorite is bare minerals and this is great, i highly recommend it: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a> comes with the brushes, foundation color, mineral veil (sooo awesome), warmth and a how to dvd to help you out. If you're looking for something less expensive here's some options: http://www.target.com/Powder-Cosmetics-B鈥?/a>Face powder, does it have a name?
yea it is facial powder (try concealer put just on the acne parts and then rub of with hand it looks totally natural and nothing on it)
Maybelline has a powder called Dream Matte Powder, it has really nice coverage so that would be great if you have acne.

Does cornsilk face powder turn orange? I just bought it and am fair skinned. Should I stick to my covergirl?
my covergirl powder just ran out and in a mad hurry I ran into a dollar store and bought cornsilk.
Does it really turn orange? I haven't put it on yet. It does smell really perfume-y though.
Pros and cons?
Should I just get what I usually wear and stick to that? I've had no color problems with covergirl.Does cornsilk face powder turn orange? I just bought it and am fair skinned. Should I stick to my covergirl?
Each product does different things on different people. Just try it and see. It has been my experience that Cover Girl looks orange, so I think it's just up to you.Does cornsilk face powder turn orange? I just bought it and am fair skinned. Should I stick to my covergirl?
Stick to your own! I used Cornsilk once and it looked fine in my mirrior until I got to Church and people were looking at me funny. My mom saw me and told me I was this orangish color.
I gave them one more shot with a pale color and I still turned the wrong color.eye liner

Thinking of switching my face powder..any suggestions?
Right now i'm using MAC studio fix powder...the problem is it's so thick and doesn't mix well with the hot summer temperatures. I've only ever used powder, I have very clear skin and am looking for a thinner powder that still evens out my skin tone. Any suggestions?Thinking of switching my face powder..any suggestions?
I use Flirt! Pressed Powder from Kohls. It is the only powder I have ever used. I don't need foundation and I absolutely love the powder. I have been using it for 3 years and 2 of them were filled with breakouts. I love how it's light; I don't feel like I am wearing makeup at all. It helps keep away shine to some degree, but you need oil blotting papers if you are gonna be in the sun all day. I use a light moisturizer with SPF 15 under it and I get great coverage. It is 14 dollars and works just as well as MAC! This is a great product!!Thinking of switching my face powder..any suggestions?
I use the same foundation and have the same problem sometimes. Try using Clinique almost powder makeup. It's great because it provides sheer coverage and it has SPF for the summer!
I would definitely recommend Clinique Stay-Matte Sheer Pressed Powder it might be a little costly but its one of the best powders I have ever had ! :]
Ovaltine chocolate milk powder works wonders.

What face powder is best?
Im just wanting to kno what ppl think is the best face powder to go over your makeup. Thanks heapsWhat face powder is best?
loose/mineral powder. it feels light. it covers up just like regular powder. and it goes great over other make-up.What face powder is best?
I assume you want a powder to 'set'; the foundation and keep the face matte? There are three products that I love to use:
MAC Blot powder (pressed) - this product is phenomenal. It is really good for keeping the dreaded shiny look away and foundation applied looks fresh even after about eight to ten hours, when you use MAC Blot to touch up a couple of times during the day. This powder does not add any color to your skin tone, just blends into the foundation.
Revlon Colorstay pressed powder - very similar to MAC, the drugstore version of MAC Blot, actually. Very good color selection and nice, handy compact.
Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse pressed powder - the compact is a little funny because the powder puff is in a swivel compartment but don't let that bother you, because it is a great product considering the price and the color selection is pretty decent.
I've bought ever powder under the sun and spent a silly amount of money trying them all but still, THE best one I've used is Collection 2000 in Transluent shade. Stays on, covers well and smells lovely! Its about 拢1.99 and I swear by it!!

Has anyone tried sara lee's face powder? which is better, avon or sara lee?
i use avon, but i changed the shade %26amp; i've been having pimples! i wa wondering if sara lee face powder i good especially for oily skin. have u tried it, which is better? thanks! merry christmas to all!Has anyone tried sara lee's face powder? which is better, avon or sara lee?
I have tried both but I still find Pond's powder (the one in rectangular compact) is a lot better than both. However, that one is out in the shelves now. Pond's people say that they have produced a better replacement for that.

My face is oily. Will wearing powder OVER Almay clean complexion foundation powder help or make it worse?
I already wear loose powder over it, but my face is melting at the end of the day and looks like a greasy mess. Help!My face is oily. Will wearing powder OVER Almay clean complexion foundation powder help or make it worse?
I suggest blotting it with a paper towel throughout the day. Just press the paper towel and hold it for a second on the shiny places. No need to spend money on those oil absorbing sheets, a paper towel works just as well. If you keep putting more powder on, your face will just look like a cake by the end of the day. Also, my skin is super oily too and I've found that spreading a thin layer of Clearasil all over my face at bedtime helps dramatically. You can do that every night or every other night if you find it to be too drying. It will help with the melting problem, trust me.My face is oily. Will wearing powder OVER Almay clean complexion foundation powder help or make it worse?
iya :)
my face used to be really oily too, are you wearing liquid foundation too? if you are maybe change it to a mouse kinda one because liquid ones tend to look more wet and greasy, and yeah i reckon it's your powder, try changing it, you can get like oil free ones and ones to prevent oily-ness (: x
IT'S THE MAKE-UP .... do not wear that power foundation .. let your face heal over naturally with organic herb's , moisturize lotion's , also try a more healthier live style .... meaning stop a lot of the greasy food and you would see a big BIG different in your skin just try it for one week . you'll see
if ur up to other options then i say google Dinair Airbrush Makeup..they have this stuff u can out on under ur makeup that absorbs and gets rid of oil as its produced...ive been using their makeup for the past 2 years and i LOVE it...it covers everything and makes my skin look flawless...its also all water based so its not bad for ur skin...anywho..hope i helped..=)
powder reduces shine. go for it! also get some oil absorbing blotting papers, amazing.
I sometimes just end up beginning on sale and sampling several types. Do what fits your situation and I bet your instinct will be right. I read reviews at http://BrandsMakeup.com
use multani mitti ( clay face pack) twice a week

Ditto Bare Minerals by Bare Essentials! It's matte for good coverage but has a little reflective stuff in it to make your skin glow. Use a pretty pink or peach blusher too. Either one will perk up your skin and make you look more awake.Which is the best powder for one whose face looks very tired ?
mineral powder. Max also has a nice concealor. And get some rest!
Mix a shimmery powder or eyeshadow with your powder foundation, the glitter will make you look awake.
You should also use an eyebag concealer =D.
good luck!
Try puritycosmetics,co,uk. It is really good!
Have you tried bare minerals? I'm 24 and I have really bad crows feet, I put on the bare minerals line and I look and feel like a million bucks. It dosn't feel heavy and you don't get oily either. I'm not sure if you have a store called ulta by you but they have their own line of the bare minerals and it works just the same at a fraction of the price. And with gas prices the way they are I don't mind saving money any where I can.

Which Foundation and face powder?
Can any one tell me what is the best foundation to buy and is worth the money? At the moment I ware collection 2000 sheer foundation but it doesn't really make to much difference to my skin. I've heard that mineral foundation/face powder is really good and makes your skin look flawless.
What makes do mineral foundation and which is the cheapest so I can try it out?
Thanks very much.

You were told right, Mineral Powder Foundation is the best foundation out there right now. I use MK and it does a great job at covering up my scars and freckles, plus it stays on all day and it's easy to apply. I would not recommend any of the Mineral Powder Foundations at the pharmacy or grocery store, they aren't good quality and may actually break you out --so stay far away from them, I know the price is lurring but it's not worth it! Here's the link to the one I buy, I highly recommend it!
http://www.marykay.com/bvelazquez/skinca…
The word is mineral foundation, it's been popular for years with the natural living sort, you know the environmentalists, some may think of them as tree-huggers but as they normally avoid commercial products due to harmful ingredients they tend to be very well informed about things such as skin care, thus they are great to get beauty tips from. Evidently major brands did just that as they are all now hopping on board by bringing out their own mineral ranges.
Mineral foundation is free from harmful ingredients which also means no preservatives, perfume, talk or oils which makes it so much better for your skin. The powder is lighter so feels more comfortable and looks more natural, not to mention the fact that it does not clog up your pores like many liquid or powder foundations can. A mineral foundation gives far better coverage than other foundations, it's not like liquid foundation that you pile on to try to hide a spot just to find it stands out even more and looks caked on – eek! For the acne prone mineral foundation is perfect because it gives very good coverage even over swelling or scaring, the fact it is a mineral foundation means it won't make you break out like a liquid, moose or conventional powder foundation would so helps prevent acne.
I'd recommend Bare Minerals SPF15 Foundation from Bare Essentials which costs £17.50 however mineral foundation tends to last longer than liquid so it works out about the same as any other type of foundation. Otherwise Maybelline Pure Foundation Mineral, this is cheaper and still does the job just as well – despite being mineral foundations some major brands seem heavier so it's obvious they are adding additional ingredients, where as Maybelline's mineral range is still light and low in additional ingredients. If you live in the US I believe they also have a pressed powder version, which should be making it over here to the UK in the next few months.
Another suggestion if you need additional coverage or find foundations too heavy or unnatural, try tinted moisturizers – they are hard to get as now everywhere only seems to sell self-tan moisturizers, but there is one brand aimed at teens which is really good and cheap too. The brand is Nivea Visage Young Be Beautiful tinted moisturizer, this actually gives good coverage so you could use this instead of your normal moisturizer and rather than a liquid foundation, then just use a light cover of powder foundation like mineral foundation. It evens out tone without having to bog your skin down with layers of foundation, then powder on top sets your make-up and prevents shine.
I got a mineral foundation from target, it's revlon sheer minerals i think it's called? Not too sure, but all drugstore brands have mineral foundations out now. I also have a mineral foundation i found at Costco, called Fresh Minerals, it looks great on me..and it was $30 for a foundation, 3 brushes, 2 eye shadows, and a bronzer. (it's a starter kit.) It works really well, and i love it.
Bare minerals! I never liked wearing makup cuz it was all cakey and or the wrong color, especially if you tried to cover up a blemish or something. ( not to mention my hubby hated me wearing makeup. He said I looked like I was trying to be someone else)
It is kind of pricy but i've tried other imitation mineral makeups %26amp; hated it so for Christmas last year my husband bought me bare minerals %26amp; I have used nothing else since. He loves it, he says I look like myself %26amp; it makes me feel good!
P.S. almost a year later i'm not even close to running out
Bourjois has some excellent ones, as they are from the same compnay as Chanel. For more expensive ones, the best I have tried though is Bobby brown which is about £25. MAC has some good ones, I'd go %26amp; test different ones %26amp; ask for samples to see which ones suit your skin, Mac have make-up artists to help you, %26amp; they'll help find ur exact colour(very important) %26amp; give you a small sample to take home also.
forget about collection2000 they're quite poor quality.

Or MAXFACTOR is good. http://www.ciao.co.uk/Boots_No_7_Radiant…
I use Shiseido lifting foundation; it provides flawless coverage and a lasting, lustrous finish while promoting elasticity to give skin a visibly lifted look, cost $41. And a use Clinique loose powder “Blended Face Powder”, cost $19.
I love bare minerals. It's the best. My cheeks have a natural reddish tint to it and I always hated it and even with regular make up you could tell, but this stuff makes my skin look and feel amazing.
try physicians formula mineral makeup...it;s like $10 at target...i love mineral makeup...it covers everything and is not heavy
I have found Nivea tinted moisturiser to be good, and cheap too, works as a foundation which adapts to your skin tone whilst moisturising your skin!
Try Boots.
i always use a masking cream by christy its called Keramask.i get it from boots chemist it costs £9-99 you only need to put a small amount on so it lasts ages.

NYC Loose Face Powder Translucent 741A?
Has anyone used this? Is it a good product?
Would you recommend this to somebody with combination skin (oily t-zone) and light skin?NYC Loose Face Powder Translucent 741A?
Although I haven't used it, I checked the ingredients and it seems good. It's a good choice to absorb excess oil, as it's powder and I think the shade matches with your light skin.

Is garlic powder safe for your face?
I'm going to make a face mask with honey, oatmeal, and maybe garlic powder. Is this a good idea?Is garlic powder safe for your face?
Yes, it is safe. I've actually heard that some face masks use garlic in them because it helps to fight acne. But then again, with any face mask, you could try to put a little bit on one area and see how it will react.
鈾BIs garlic powder safe for your face?
why garlic powder? use sugar or google home made face wash im sure you'll get a ton of different ideas
yes it is.
that's pretty gross:

Does cover up/ powder ruin my face complexion?
My mom doesnt let me wear anything on my face except my eyes because she says when i get older my skin will wrinkle and it'll look bad. Is this true? She used to wear it when she was around 18 and her skin has a few wrinkles from it. I wanna wear it but I'm scared it might ruin my face complexion when i'm not wearing makeup and it will make a few of my zits worse. Help? I need adviceDoes cover up/ powder ruin my face complexion?
Yes it's possible. Make up can contribute to it and my mom was the same way when I was younger. If you use it all the time then you might have a problem, but if you use it every so often you will be fine. Use one that help with wrinkles. You may not have them now but who knows, using those kinds may help with wrinkles in the future. That's my thought process anyway hahaDoes cover up/ powder ruin my face complexion?
No, cover up, powder, and foundation do not hurt your skin or give you wrinkles. Some liquid foundations may clog your pores, but lots of them are made to not do that. I don`t know why your mother would tell you that, it has been scientifically proven wrong time and time again. Just make sure you always remove your makeup and wash your face before you go to bed and you will have no problems.
Hope this helped!
I use powder foundation bc it doesnt clog your pores, or feel cakey. I use cliniques powder, its healthy for your skin.
I learned in beauty school that you should use brushes not sponges to apply everything that comes in a powder. The daily tugging on your skin with a sponge is harsh on your delicate eye area.
So use a powder and use a brush, and you will be wrinkle free.
It's not going to create wrinkles. But it's definitely not great for your skin. Just always remember to wash your makeup off at night and always wear a moisturizer underneath and you will be fine. :)
If you want to start off lightly, I'd recommend a tinted moisturizer. And get one for oily skin...
she's lying. makeup doesn't give you wrinkles, time does. eat well, don't smoke, and use makeup sparingly and you'll be just fine xx
dont you cover up anything but cover up
won't cause wrinkles but can clog pores causing zits.

Is it okay for me to apply face powder? just had a facial yesterday. thanks!?
Yeah, as long as it's not on the piercing. Is it okay for me to apply face powder? just had a facial yesterday. thanks!?
Yeah its ok. But I would use something that can clean out pores. Not that the powder clogged them but your pores have been cleaned so keeping them clean won't lead to breakouts.=)eye liner

A type of face powder that is really good, inexpensive, and can last all day?
L'Oreal Bare Naturale (Mineral) powder foundation.
It is a really sheer foundation, but it covers all day. Mineral make-up is good for your skin too. I will never go back to wearing anything else.
Even though I love a lot of neutrogena products, I don't recommend their mineral line. The applicator for the foundation powder doesn't work worth a darn, so I don't even know how good the product is.
here is a review of the product from epinions, you can read more user comments here as well:

It is NOT below $10, however depending on your market it can sell for as little as $12 and as much as $15 (Wal-Mart or look for a sale at Walgreens). I think it is the best ';cheap'; powder I have ever used and it will last you a long time. The brush it comes with gives you instructions on keeping it clean so that is another factor in the shelf life and lasting quality of this product compared to others I've used.A type of face powder that is really good, inexpensive, and can last all day?

I got that kind the person above mentioned, but it was only 8 bucks when I got it like a year ago. :P

Is it okay to go to sleep with arbonen mineral powder foundation still on your face?
meh and my friend
are going camping, and we
need to wear make-up about everyday to coverup
redness, littlepimples and all that suff.
it would be nice to just to go to sleep at night with out having
to take off our make-up %26amp; we won't have much time
to put
on make-up on
in the morning cuz of
our stupid camp director,
doesn't give us
anytime to
get ready.
since itz mineral powder
do u think its a good idea?Is it okay to go to sleep with arbonen mineral powder foundation still on your face?
No your face should be washed every night unless you just happen to accidently not have time or something. Your pores need to breath. It also keeps you from ageing so quicklyIs it okay to go to sleep with arbonen mineral powder foundation still on your face?
i would reccomend bringing along some makeup remover wipes which are quick and easy to use! mac makes some great ones
Bad idea, regardless of what it is. Anything on your face will clog your pores. You know you're getting extra dirt, bacteria, and oil on your face all day too. You need to get some stridex or some other kind of makeup remover wipes and keep your face clean, otherwise you'll leave with more bumps and redness than you already have.
I've worn mineral powder to bed and it hasn't given me any problems like foundation has in the past.. I guess since it doesn't go fully in the pores nothing happens... Wearing makeup to bed is never a good idea, but since you are going camping just do it during that time.. when you get back home just get right back into your normal face washing routine, and if anything happened to your skin on the trip, everything will go back to normal =]
why would you need to wear makeup when you are camping. you are too high maintenance
i have and it didnt affect me
All makeup is made with minerals. Mineral powder is just sanes the creams and conditioners added to base makeup. The answer is your skin needs time to breathe or it starts looking old. You should clean your face of every smidgeon of makeup every night and give it the air it needs. Also using a good exfollient cream like Oil of Olay Age Defying Daily Renewal Cream will help keep your skin looking young longer.

When using minerals powder how do you get it to look more naturally blended and not powder stuck on your face?
use a dense brush (kabukis are usually the ones used) or a flat top brush. You have to bufff it onto the skin, there are videos on youtube that can show it better than i can explain it lol.
also remember to put a little on the brush and swirl it in but then tap off excess. the excess will make it look powdery because there's too muchWhen using minerals powder how do you get it to look more naturally blended and not powder stuck on your face?
I apply a primer before I use my mineral foundation - Halo.
I apply the foundation witha kabuki brush, then dust off the excess. Then, I use my hands and rub all over my face very lightly to ensure there is no remaining dust on my face. I find the primer helps it stick better and allows the excess to be removed easier. When using minerals powder how do you get it to look more naturally blended and not powder stuck on your face?
I have never used minerals powder before but covergirl powder seems to do this too. I find that in about 1/2 an hour to an hour it disappears though-I suppose it soaks into the skin or something.. Does yours still appear powder like throughout the day? In that case I wouldnt know.
Try using a large blush brush..
just swirl your blush brush in the mineralized powder you have.. and buff it into your face.. by buff i mean making circular motions on your face..
or you could try a kabuki brush.. that works quite well.
Hope i helped! :)
put the brush in (not to hard) then get another brush and brush the other brush against that brush, then brush the 2nd brush on your checks and then brush against the side of your eyes and a bit down to your chin x it gives u a more natural effect x
use a kabuki brush and blend it in well.

How does misting your face after foundation and loose powder help ';set'; your makeup?
It can help set your make up - powder includes ingredients such as talc and fine clays. I am not into going to give a chemistry lesson. Put simply, the properties of clays and talc will react with the misted water, just like if you add water to flour, and the clay particles stick to the skin and each other. As a result when the mixture dries on the skin it is a slightly changed product.
I'm not the only one who finds it works ....
鈥?Make-up artist Glauca Rossi, who now runs her own make-up school in London, sets foundation and powder by spritzing with mineral water. (If you don鈥檛 want to splash out
on a can of Evian spray, fill a plant mister with mineral water, instead.)
鈥?Manhattan make-up pro Fulvia Farolfi believes in fixing foundation with an Evian spray, too. She then blots cheeks and forehead with a tissue to absorb any excess moisture.
鈥?Your foundation disappears? Vanishing make-up can be the result of either very dry or very oily skin, according to New York make-up artist Lynne Geller. Dry skin is so thirsty for moisture that it literally soaks up cosmetics. To combat the problem, Geller recommends choosing make-up formulations with creamy textures. Misting your face regularly with an Evian spray or a plant mister can help, too. With oily skin, enlarged pores allow make-up to seep right into your skin. Excess oils can tamper with the texture, making it rub off easily every time you touch your face. Skip the moisturiser and look for an oil-free formula - or consider all-in-one make-up/powder formulations, which are less likely to be absorbed into the skin (see Make-Up on the Go, p.00).How does misting your face after foundation and loose powder help ';set'; your makeup?
I don't know too much about misting the face after foundation. But I use loose powder after applying foundation to give it more of a matte finish. If you use the right foundation, you don't need to do anything else to it to make sure that it stays on and looking good throughout the day. Try Mary Kay's Foundations. How does misting your face after foundation and loose powder help ';set'; your makeup?
I've never heard of doing that after makeup. Sounds like your makeups going to smear. Although misting you face before makeup will make you skin look fresh and awake because the cold water will tighten your pores.
its doesnt things that claim that are not true. a simple way to freshen makeup uis using BLOT papers clean and clear make good ones and then ppat some invisible mattifyer like BENEFIT DR. FEELGOOD or HARD CANdY BLOT its the purple powder that goes clear. then smooth som pressed powder where some more coverage is needed or to keep shine way longer.
