Powder makes face more oily?

I dont know if its just me but it seems that whenever i put any type of powder on my face, even oil free and talc-free, my face seems to be more oily than when i don't. Any thoughts?Powder makes face more oily?
The oil on your face is absorbing in the powder that stays on your face, therefore it appears more oily.Powder makes face more oily?
naww.

this is how it works:

osmotic pressure. fluid flows from a point of high concentration to a point of low concentration.

face=full of fluid (oil)

powder=no fluid, tons of space

face+powder+oil=oily powder=natural/matte look, makes oil faces more comfortable.

but if your powder is too heavy, then your face trys to fill the powder by creating more oil. like when you wash your face and it's really dry, then it gets oily? same diff. try putting on a moisturizing lotion (aveeno spf 15 face lotion is really good) before, so it has something to stick to.

also, try mineral powder. they sell jane powder for about $5 now at places like wallgreens, cvs and rite aide, and its pretty descent.

Is it just pressed powders you use? If so try a loose powder meant for oily skin. You can also try blotting your skin with either blotting sheets or a paper towel before putting on powder.
The reason could be that the powder is drying your face out, if you are not using any moisturizer than applying powder will cause your skin to produce more oil because it does not feel moisturized.
