Making makeup stay on my face, without powder.?

HI!

Whenever i go out i wear makeup, i have good skin skin so i don't need to cake myself but when i put the powder on so that the makeup stays in place, it makes my skin look like im wearing a lot of makeup.

Is there any better way of making the makeup last?

I usually moisturise before i put it on, but the heat just seems to melt it off!

I'm not changing the makeup, i love it!

thanks!Making makeup stay on my face, without powder.?
One thing is your skin could be too dry.

Or just dont use powder. Urban decay has one thing [[that i forgot the name of]] that you roll on that makes your makeup stay on and prevents creases.Making makeup stay on my face, without powder.?
the powder really is needed since its what ';sets'; the foundation. it even helps to make eye shadow stay put. when you apply the powder you should use a powder brush (a big brush with soft yet stiff bristles) and gently swirl the brush in the power so that there is only a fine coat on the brush (you should still be able to see some bristles through the coat of powder) and that should be enough to cover one side of your face. do the same for the opposite side of your face as well as your forehead. then remove all the powder from the brush by tapping it or by brushing your arm with it. once all the powder is off the brush then brush your entire face to remove any excess.

also, if you wait a few minutes between moisturizing and applying the foundation it will give your skin more time to absorb the moisturizer and and less of a ';greasy'; appearance.

if you still are having problems with your makeup staying in place then lightly coat your face with hair spray! (i know this sounds crazy but it really works!!!) hope this helps!
Hi!

Have you ever tried spritzing your face with water? Spritzing your face after you have finished applying your foundation can help set your makeup into place and make it look less cakey.

Also, the way you might be applying your powder could make it look more heavy. A soft powder brush works best for applying powder and remember don't use too much powder.

:)
How do you apply the powder?Try using a big fluffy face brush, it will make it look very nice and natural!

Or you could also try using a face primer to have the makeup stick better

Good luck :)
Well, when I use the sponge to apply my powder, it looks more caked on. Now I just use a Kabuki powder or even bronzer brush. I think it looks better, and it doesn't look very caked. A Kabuki brush is a good investment. Hope I helped you!
Use a primer like Smashbox Primer Light. It really works!!
